Did you know the collection of your 5c and 10c coins gathered week by week is really following a Chatswood Church of Christ tradition? In earlier times an elder would collect pennies (copper ones, do you remember them?) that helped maintain the church property?
Well we are launching into an other mission field now: India. Keep your coins flowing. They will slowly and quietly make a difference at the Ashwood Hospital in India which was founded by a former lady member of this church. In offering prayer for the patients in the Ashwood Hospital, I know you won't forget the little children at the Zimbabwe Children's Home. All are precious in His sight.

Ashwood Hospital
Practical support from Australian churches has provided vital equipment but photos indicate a still-basic standard. They are short-staffed with 5 nurses working very hard. Two more will join in March. Training of a daughter to take up Nursing is an expense beyond some Christian families. Perhaps Chatswood CoC could interest itself in this aspect of the Hospital's work - sponsorship of the 3-year General Nursing Course? Meanwhile, the coins that come in soon add up to a significant amount. If we can send a couple of hundred Australian dollars from time to time, this will undoubtedly be a blessing to the Pawars who head up this Hospital. The foundation of this work is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We praise God for its continuance under His hand.
The Philippines
Faith Academy is a school for missionary children from various parts of Asia. There are a number of Australians on the staff. For prayer is the issue of a UK family currently raising support. There is also need for an ESL teacher. Missionaries who leave their comfort zone to serve in the Third World still have to educate their children. Do pray for Faith Academy.Vietnam
